Maestro's Maniac Mansion!

About Maestro's Maniac Mansion!...hmmm, what to put here. Let's see, the first incarnation of MMM was a idea based on Boarding School. It eventually became a not so succesful comic because basically I suck at drawing. After that I had a short comic called Rush Inc, which also failed because of my great inability to draw anything decent.

But still I wanted to make comics so I either had to use sprites(which is not allowed on comicgen) or make photographs. Well obviously it became photographs. So what to use as characters...luckily Kelvin came with a solution, he gave me a box full of dinosaurs mini figures. I randomly choose four of the dino's which became my lead characters: Brandon, Stefan, Trica and Biggie. After some toying around with different kind of back grounds I bought big pieces of coloured paper where I create my floor and background. The rest is all made in Photoshop.

Anyway, sometimes I was/am too lazy to make photographs and go through the hazzle of editing them for the comic and then I draw inspiration from films or games and take screenshots from them and try to make a half decent comic. I started this comic with the idea of one gag a day comic but soon a story grew in my head and with my limited medium i will try to tell you that story and also learn some stuff about photography, photo editing and story telling. My main inspiration for this comic are Irregular Webcomic and Legostar Galactica. Both amazing webcomics, also photographed and with good storylines. So if you aren't already reading them, go now!
